Together for a fairer society
As part of ERSTE FAIR INVEST, the Aus Liebe zum Menschen Foundation of the Red Cross and Erste Asset Management are working together to promote social issues. Erste Asset Management's contribution is used to support children and young people with educational disadvantages in the foundation's learning centers.
Learning support for children
Every year, around 8,000 socially disadvantaged young people in Austria finish their education without completing compulsory schooling. This is where the 12 learning houses throughout Austria help: with individual learning assistance and leisure activities, children and young people are supported in overcoming educational disadvantages and developing a positive learning and working attitude. The children are supported by professional educators and volunteers and are encouraged to recognize the opportunities and paths that life has in store for them as part of the programme.
Focus on topics for a better future
ERSTE FAIR INVEST only invests worldwide in companies whose products and services have a particular social benefit. In this way, your investment contributes to sustainable development. Promising companies may not be investable for sustainability reasons. However, it is not yet possible to predict which companies will benefit most from this trend in the long term. Investments are made in the following areas:
Health and well-being
Investments in health, care, lifestyle and pets.
Work
Topics such as Happy @ Work, Female Leadership and Diversity & Inclusion.
Society
Education, financial prosperity and public and inclusive transportation are at the forefront of this.
Our fund managers do not invest in all companies for sustainability reasons. It is still unclear which companies will be leaders in these areas in the future. Please note that investing in securities involves both opportunities and risks.

FAQs
Impact investing means that, alongside financial objectives, environmental and social priorities are also set. At ERSTE FAIR INVEST, the focus is on social issues. The fund therefore invests in companies whose products and services are intended to deliver social benefits.
Social sustainability is difficult to measure because outcomes such as education, inclusion, or public health cannot be quantified as easily as revenue or profit. Many social benefits emerge over long periods and are influenced by multiple factors. As a result, investors often rely on a range of indicators to assess whether meaningful social progress is being achieved.
Financial inclusion means that people have access to essential financial services such as bank accounts, loans, savings products, and payment systems. Without these services, it can be more difficult to manage money, build wealth, or start a business. Wider access to financial services can support economic participation and help reduce social inequality.
